the christopher hill gallery

It’s about time I put something up! The Christopher Hill Gallery in St. Helena just consigned four of my new paintings. The gallery’s in this beautiful loft space in an old brick building on main street, it’s run by two great guys, Tom and Christopher, and they love what they do.  If you’re in the Napa Valley, stop by and check it out.

september show in waco

So excited to show some of my paintings at the Croft Gallery in September. If you’re around Waco, make sure to stop by and check it out!

Its been one of those months…between moving from Texas to California (which I CANNOT wait to write about!), and all the packing in between, this post is insanely overdue.

I’ve had an opportunity to be apart of some great exhibits this year, but the culmination of these past 10 months was Souvenir…a solo show I received from a great gallery in Waco, Tx. It was in an awesome 4,000 sq. ft. space in an old building downtown, and the turn-out was incredible. Over 400 people came out for the opening night. For those of ya’ll who couldn’t come, you were missed! here are a few pictures from the show:

The russian river valley: inspired by a hazy morning fog.

David and I installed the show together and it was so much fun to finally liberate the paintings and put them up on walls with space around them. The show included 35 new paintings that I’ve made this past year.

And most importantly: the food. Because really. What would an opening be without great food? We had italian salamis, cheeses, feta & roasted tomato salad, macaroons, parmesean artichoke dip, cake balls, breads, and spiced nuts. But the best had to be the cupcakes:

Meet Sarah Gadsby.

She and her sisters have an outrageous cupcake business, making gourmet cupcakes that I’m mildly obsessed with. So for the opening, they made over 300 cupcakes, and I have them and so many others (you know who you are) to thank! From vanilla bean, to coconut lime, to salted caramel, to honey lavender, every cupcake was so unusual and good. So check out their blog:, and give them a call next time you have a cupcaking need.
